Length = 9mm
Edit: confirmed by dissection as Bryotropha terrella
Thanks for the suggestion John but I'm fairly sure it is one of the Bryotrophas - terrella, perhaps. The moth will go to my county recorder at the end of the season for determination and I will post the result back here. Thanks again.
Agonopterix heracliana, or thereabouts.
