Diarsia sp. 14th May 2009

The moth on the right is a bog-standard Small Square-spot with a forewing length of 17mm. The moth on the left has very similar markings but is much larger - 21mm fw - and has a distinct curve to the leading edge of the forewing. In the hand there is a distinct dark band about half way down the wings which doesn't show too well in the photo.

Edit: confirmed by dissection as Small Square-spot
