Coleophora 5th July 2009

4mm long

'Sid' commented: "Possibly Juncicolella,due to size". Can't find any photos online but the drawing in MoGBI is of a very grey moth.

Edit: confirmed by dissection as Coleophora flavipennella

    Thanks for the suggestion, Sid. Unfortunately I can't find any pics of the adult moth anywhere online. The pic in MoGBI is very grey whilst mine is brown. I've retained the moth for dissection by my county recorder at the end of the season and will post the result back here.
